Touhou 9 PVP Mode (Needs Troubleshooting)

Hey has anyone tried this before? I was trying it with @Thrembolone and it wouldn't connect even doe we did everything right according to the guide.

I usually do not post stuff like this but this game is so hard to get working online that you need to jump through like 20 hoops to get it operating. Use hamachi to fake a LAN and have thrembo join your network. If both of your games are running and it went successfully then you'll get taken to character select.

well we were able to join the network but it didn't let us join the game and it just froze, what can we do?
