For less than the cost of his Big Mac, fries, and Coke, he could've bought a loaf of bread and some good cheese or roast beef, which he would have enjoyed more.

Does coffee actually make people feel energized or is it just a placebo? I feel absolutely nothing when I drink coffee and it tastes like shit so I have only drank it very sparingly.

Yea, it does for me. Really though, it's not anything that really helps. With coffee, I feel wide awake after drinking it. Without, I feel wide awake about 30 minutes later than I would with coffee.
If you get enough sleep, you just have no reason to drink it, you can make sure you get up a little sooner so you can wake up naturally.
I also can't give it up, tho. I just like waking up and sitting by the window with my mug. Feels aryan.
