It bothers me how many people don't recognize the genius 4d chess bush Jr was playing, by destroying Iraq he removed Iran's only peer power in the middle east leaving Iran free to surround and trap Israel in a killing bottle with proxies on all sides.

Well I have been thinking about this for weeks now; It would have been better if Saddam Hussein had stayed in power for israel due to him being the Block against Iran and the only defender of the middle-east against Iran but weirdly enough israel supported Iran in the Iran-Iraq war and were the only reason why America invaded Iraq in 2003 but now they regret that seeing that Iran literally had total dominance and control and influence in the region and are using it to surround and threaten Israel if saddam was still in power we Wouldn’t have that since He was the biggest block against Iran once he fell Iran went through and now today Iran has total influence, dominance, and power in the region and now surround Israel kek Israel literally shot themselves in the foot along with the us

I think people tend to overestimate the cost of the global war on terror, it cost the USA a lot of money but they spend more on social security and healthcare every year. Plus, the human cost was much smaller than the other wars, and 9/11 permanently increased patriotism amongst the masses. In my opinion, Vietnam had the worst cultural fallout, the global war on terror helped them out of the slump. Meanwhile, the Arab and Persian world is in chaos and infighting and probably will be for 40 years. Of course there is the migrant crisis, but Europe could have put their foot down and said no but they didn't unfortunately.
