Will the schlog outlast the sharty?

I don't know. If one or the other dies for a stupid reason then I'll put something up for people to chat with each other. Probably another forum. The drive is there for people that aren't happy with the party for one reason or another, but splinters are terribly run either technically or they have horrible moderation. The blog fills that gap I think.

The problem with a bunch of those splinters is that nobody's going to use your almost thematically identical imageboard site, because they would just go use the sharty anyways, unless they're of course banned from it. You then have a guy who's probably brand new to running an imageboard having to deal with a userbase full of sharty rejects. It doesn't end well when you try and re-invent the wheel for a bunch of Neanderthals.

It takes a lot, or something pretty bad, to be permanently banned from the Sharty. And all those really bottom of the barrel permabanned rejects end up clinging to whatever soyjak related site they can find and end up comprising the entirety of the userbase. You could say "huh I wonder whatever happened to that one annoying namefag everyone knew who got banned", and 9 times out of ten they ended up as the poster boy-scape-goat-lolcow for a sharty splinter.

The Shemmy, in all seriousness, wasn't really that bad. In fact, it was almost exactly like the Sharty. The same goes for the Jarty. Endless brown troonjak memes aside, there was very little difference between the Sharty, the Jarty, and the Shemmy other than PPH.
