I hate that term when I hear it, "cultural Christian". These people make an attempt to embrace the morals of the faith, obviously seeing its goodness, but somehow something still blocks them from understanding our Lord Jesus Christ, that something often being their pride in not wanting to be seen as wrong or mistaken in holding a past opinion. I often hear such a term from intelligent people who are still too foolish to care for their salvation over something worldly, caring instead for a thing like public perception. Warren Balogh is an example of this, as I've heard him use this very term before. Very smart, intelligent, well-learned fellow, but he's fallen to the idol of ideology because of his upbringing and now he's ended up being a blind fool to the true faith, that of Christ.
