• Happy pride month, xisters of the schlog!

Sharty /soy/ has been pretty shit today

The only time I can see someone's general location is on the approval que, and in one specific instance: When a user that is on a blacklisted IP verifies their email. This request, along with their email and general location, shows up on the approval que.

You fuckers can probably see my IP now. It's not hard to disprove that lie. If I didn't use /soy/ why would I even care? If nothing else I've been here much longer than you and all of the admins. Not that its bragging rights.

Are you off your rocker? Fairyjaks? /dbs/? Chino? Troonhou? If you genuinely think weebs didn't make up a large portion of the userbase(and they still do!) something's wrong with your claim made that you're a heggin' shardee oh gee. Be honest!
I get that, but why do we need /sude/? Why do we need /a/? It felt like a big appeal to the sharty was that there was no anime, and everyone hated it. Even if that has changed, no one uses /a/ now that its back. If it's only getting 20-50 posts per day, why not just leave it to a /g/ general rather than its own 40-page board. It would be neet if we have 50 active boards, but until that point why not just have a /g/ general until there is a need for a board.

A solution would be to go scorched Earth, NAS and spam is banned.
Rulecuck.party will never happen (again). Laissez faire moderation was the redpill all along. As of June 2024 Sharty is by far the most hands-off moderation of any altchan beside illegal stuff, pedophilia, and hitting offsite cordmonkeys with a broom. As the former "captain of the coal police" this is what I learned over half a year. There are people who don't agree with this approach and they're entitled to their preference. I sleep well at night knowing I no longer needlessly overmoderate the site. If something becomes particularly intolerable and over-spammed like lennonjaks, I turn it into a fun little ban event.

It's funny that you don't even explain why it's the redpill. It's not. The specific rules you're relaxing is the approach soygem went, and it turned into a pile of steaming shit.

But even then, sure, let's consider it's 'da redpill.' How come we aren't paring down the amount of boards we had that separated topics and discussion we didn't think belonged on the 'party? Like /qa/, /raid/, /g/, /mtv/, etcetera? They don't have any use if you won't let your mods move threads over there because of this new policy you've devised.

There is a difference between rulecucking and maintaining a boards niche and cvlture. If your goal is to make /soy/ a /b/ style board, that would be one thing. However, it always seems like you guys vehemently deny that. /soy/ didn't become active because it was a /b/ clone, it became active because it acted like a home board for specifically the soyteens from /qa/. If everyone who uses /soy/ wants you to "rulecuck" on certain types of NAS and coal, why deny them? You act like there isn't a middle ground. You act like anyone wants this to be "the most hands-off moderation site", as if people deep down want things like porn unbanned. If you want a /b/ style board, why not just make a /b/ style board? Or better yet, just double down with /qa/ and make it a SFW /b/ style board. If you want to make /soy/ a hands off free for all, why even bother making boards outside of /soy/? You are stealing traffic from all the boards NuDev says you want added. No one likes your "fun little ban events". People liked it when you banned the things we wanted banned. It's not like the 'teens want to dislike you. It feels like you purposely try to antagonize the people who use the sites you help keep up and you respond in manners just to piss people off and you know it. It's not even that you bait with zellig and frogs, it's that often times it feels like you are spitting in a lot of people's faces. If you changed your philosophy of "bait is always good because it makes you mad", in less than a month people would flip their overall opinions of you. No one wants you to be a bogeyman. /soy/ hasn't even been niggerhell these past few days, so why even bother dredging up this very thread if not to generate hate towards yourself... I just don't get why you'd do so much for the 'arty, all so that you can make yourself a disliked figure. We all want to like you.

Why don't you at least try to stick with the 8-board plan or 5-board plan but with the /b/ style board you want so much? The main issue people had with the 5-board plan were that /q/ and /qa/ were locked. Change up /qa/ a bit to become a /b/, and just have /q/ soy/ qa/ mtv / pol or /q/ soy / qa / mtv / pol / int/ x/ (whatever else)/ for a week just to see what happens.
