try not to slip on your own clitty leakage
try not to slip on your own clitty leakage
This reminds me of something I wrote about earlier, where I advocated that the Sharty should find a happy medium between the spiritless everythingslop of modern 4cuck and the forced soul oldfag cave dwelling of places like mootxico. This policy you’ve described sounds a lot like the former extreme, where too much broadness is watering away the poignant purpose of /soy/. Although I’m not advocating for an IAS only /soy/, that sweet lie, I think that the admins should try and maintain more focus on the soyjak theming of the board.
Lmao that’s usI can't really predict what will happen, but the last time an admin was mostly unresponsive to the userbase whining all the time, it led to discord infecting the site on a mass scale(Kuz).
Taking the bald man glasses website too seriously is 'arty cvlture albeitP.S: I'm really starting to sound like ex-jannies(Baritone, Fraulein Troonjak) who took the bald man glasses website too seriously. If Froot or Root sees this, I won't go rogue, and I'm not the one to sperg out. I'm just venting my misgivings on the blog website.
There is just a base level of housekeeping that needs to be done to maintain /soy/'s aesthetic. /soy/'s aesthetic is 95% of the reason anyone uses the sharty. We don't have the highest ppd of imageboards, we aren't host to cyber terrorists, we don't have the greatest artists on earth browsing, so on, but we have our aesthetic. Thats the 'arty's niche. There is obviously an acceptable amount of NAS, coal, and bait we can have on /soy/, but if there isn't enough of an attempt at quality control, we just become 4cvck. If we do just become 4chan 2.0, the people who are here because they picked /soy/ over /bant/ when /qa/ was locked have no reason to be here and the people who do like these changes can just go to the half a dozen random boards on 4chan with a higher ppd instead. It is a losing situation. What's the point of having boards outside of /soy/ if we aren't going to use them. Ban people from /soy/ who don't use it to be gemmy and make them use the NAS boards. Ban people from /soy/ who post tranime and make them use the /a/ board they begged to have open. Ban people from /soy/ who want to spam animal crossing gifs and zellig to /qa/. It's not even a revolutionary concept, every imageboard does this. Also, the whole "janny apathy" always felt like a bs excuse. Whenever something 'teens don't like happens, they bitch it about constantly. If jannies are no longer willing to do their job, get different 'teens to become jannies. It's not like we are lacking 'teens who want to make a change. You've really put the major counteracting factors that impact the bald man website extremely well. I think a good balance, which you put emphasis on, would be to allow NAS replies, but immediately delete threads(and eventually ban posters) that spam NAS FOTM bullshit. If /jak/ is still up, get rid of it to force people to make funny soyquotes.
However, that's not likely to happen. We've burned ROOT and all the other admins out. I can't really predict what will happen, but the last time an admin was mostly unresponsive to the userbase whining all the time, it led to discord infecting the site on a mass scale(Kuz). Perhaps Froot and Root will only listen to their fellow staff, that's another situation to consider.
Honestly, the NAS FOTM bullshit was the final straw that led to Root's apathy. A solution would be to go scorched Earth, NAS and spam is banned. I don't really know how people think spam is 'gemmy.' You're supposed to shit up other websites, not this one! Getting rid of spam and NAS posting will improve the site. I feel like this is shown, since during the time period between Root's supposed 'removal' and his return the site was running at a good pace. Since Root was never gone, it shows that he can be a good admin, since he let these rules be enforced.

I get the whole, "Its just heck'n bait bro, just ignore it", but when most of the threads are "bait", all the good threads are being derailed by "bait", they can necrobump their "bait" threads constantly and I'm subjected to see some faggot's slashed up legs in thigh highs, what's even the point?
shit like this is bait until furfagsoicacas actually start jerking off to itView attachment 13118

Exactly. It's what they said with 'lita. I bitched about it for months. Other 'teens bitched about it for months. Many oldtroons left over it. Jannies didn't do shit. Look how that turned out. Our consolation prize for being right was having Red, the guy protecting and jerking off to 'lita threads, leak all of our IPs.shit like this is bait until furfagsoicacas actually start jerking off to it
all nas isn’t bad nas, every thread nowerdays is a NAS topic with a soyboy wojak slapped on it. plus that’s impossible, how do you find “NAScord” threadsAll it'd take is a janny to sweep shitty NAScord threads. It would be that easy.
bait website, soyjaks were made for you to make fun of people, and soy culture is pretty much baiting people.View attachment 13118

i might sound like im contradicting myself but i fucking hate spam, its not even gemmy.I don't really know how people think spam is 'gemmy.'
Soyjaks are bait but this isn't a bait site. It's a real site. If it's not a big deal, why don't you browse niggerhell /bant/. We left /qa/ to colonize /soy/ because it was keyed, and shitty tranime spam hellholes like /bant/ aren't, even if you call it bait. Might as well hand wave everything that isn't gemmy and keyed because "muh bait site". Reporting doesn't do shit and you shouldn't have to filter the 'log on /soy/ like it's some kinda of degenerate porn website. All the proof I need to show that letting der 'cord run while is the quality of /soy/. /soy/ isn't producing gems anymore. Look at all the new variants and gems. They are from the 'ru and even here these days. People like Latvia chvd and other animators are nowhere to be seen. /soy/'s ppd have been stagnant for months. All thats left is raiding, and at least today it sucks. The twitch raid thread barely lasted a hundred posts and the /v/an tf2 raid was a complete failure, both I'd blame on /soy/s shit quality killing the hype.all nas isn’t bad nas, every thread nowerdays is a NAS topic with a soyboy wojak slapped on it. plus that’s impossible, how do you find “NAScord” threads

either report it, if it’s a good thread, or hide the posts. it is “just bait bro”
If that's the case, why did you subvert the 8-board plan by adding back /sude/, /a/, /caca/, /int/, and whichever other boards were added. People were angry at the 5-board plan because the 5 boards you left were not ideal. The 5-board plan is completely reliant on jannies sweeping each board to maintain their niche, but they don't. We couldn't even have a 2-board plan work as things are currently. The most important parts about having a low amount of boards is:
- PPH is exponential. When you make a post, and you get a reply, you are most likely to reply back to continue the conversation. However, if nobody replies, you will stop posting sooner. So the more people using a board, PPH goes up exponentially.
- You will check only a few boards. Most people only use /soy/. My plan with restricting the site to 5 boards was that instead of checking up to 20 boards for new replies, you would only need to check /hobby/ and /soy/. I find that I would use /hobby/ more because there were only 2 boards to check instead of having to go through all of the others. I am working on a solution to this.
Bleed out and die. Hobby had little making it stick out for the average teen, especially at first glance, while the other ostensibly hobby boards have an immediate niche someone would be interested in, like the late /tech/, /mtv/, /a/, or /caca/. Hobby didn’t pique your interest, it slipped away in favor of more /soy/.The most important parts about having a low amount of boards is:

...and put furfag boards, pony boards, zellig boards, tranime, tf2, etc, all in the same place? instead of just keeping that shit in /qa/?The most important parts about having a low amount of boards is:

also like the others say, the lack of /caca/ and a zoomer tech board is actually pretty depressing.Soyjaks are bait but this isn't a bait site. It's a real site. /hobby/ and /g/ combined were about ~2000 ppd according to marge.moe, less than what /qa/ was doing by itself beforehand. /hobby/ and /g/ were just /qa/ refugee boards. You can tell because the second /qa/ opened, /g/ became empty like it is right now. Now the /qa/ is no longer climbing towards 2k ppd and its dead, who knows if anyone would even use /hobby/ jokingly.Bleed out and die. This can be explained by my aforementioned dichotomy between 4cuck nothingness and mootxico oldfaggotry, /hobby/ slipped into the former category while something niche like the many 50 board plan boards fell into the latter.
However, I agree with your exponential replies statement and the desire to maintain some level of compactness to the sharty. I just think a middle path should be the target with Sharty formatting over one of the extremes.
That being said, the 50 board plan was kinda fun as a one off event, it was funny seeing stupid boards like /ihop/ and the inclusion of an unhidden /caca/(Sharty saving gem(Broot take notes))Bleed out and die. I know, I just trying to say we couldn't even trust jannies to sort out a NAS and IAS board by themselves.i think a 2 board plan would be the worst thing for the sharty ever
Sure, I'm not saying we should have an IAS only /soy/ (jannies could never handle that) but like you are saying there is a differnce between banning all NAS and sweeping. Npestajak and catjak were swept and even banned when people started spamming them. Npestajak wasn't even that long ago. Flartson was banned. Fr*ge was banned. There is pleny of NAS and coal we did ban, during gemmier times. Why did this change? This should be done, not all the time though. NASposting occassionally in the replies is fine as long as it's not some faggy tranime avatar or the same autistic thing. Even if you did this, the quality of /soy/ won't go up. People can't 'jak or raid. You'd just be left with slop threads and mostly bait.
Good threads get immediately bumped off of page 1 in mere seconds because shit threads keep getting bumped by retards. If you were a 'jakker who made edits or new gemmy variants, why would you even stay on a site that doesn't even give an ounce of attention to your work? Why would you even make 'jaks when Catjak and Lennonjak take way less effort but get more attention from people?
I didn't. I thought it was a bad idea to bring it back.If that's the case, why did you subvert the 8-board plan by adding back /sude/, /a/, /caca/, /int/, and whichever other boards were added.
