there’s some threads people here make that i don’t like but would still prefer to reply to. problem is just by replying i still contribute by bumping said threads, however a “SAGE!” feature would help prevent this! not only would this improve the quality of the site by helping drown out low-quality threads, but it would give users more flexibility to pick and choose which threads deserve to be discussed! i think the staff team should take this idea into tough consideration.

This site is too small to benefit from a SAGE! feature. Let older threads come back to life and die again, it incites higher amount of activity, and it doesn't really harm anything or anyone besides being a little bit annoying to a vocal minority.

i mean i would just want that feature so i can sage REALLY bad threads, like ones that should’ve never been made. problem with bumping dead threads like these is that people tend to congregate in them and it becomes discord general while drowning out actual good threads

This is a problem that was started by the userbase, not by any pre-existing (or NEW) features that are present on the site. Adding a SAGE! option wouldn't do much in this case

funny how you mention userbase because i said in my op that giving the userbase more flexibility to prevent other users from creating these problems would be a net benefit for the site, hence a sage feature

saging people’s threads doesn’t mean i’m leaking, it means i’m at a peace of mind because i don’t have to see their shitty threads anymore
no saging means the thread made you leak so hard you couldnt stop yourself from replying to it instead of just filtering it or ignoring it.
