That's untrue, well what you said may be correct but not being able to determine the gender of a fish is an untrue statement
while you can determine the gender of a goldfish because they have sexual dimorphism, sexing a tetraodon lineatus, or fahaka pufferfish, is impossible unless you have a male and a female and they attempt to court with each other. most fish do not have visible genitals or signs to tell their sex.

literally every single care guide on most freshwater puffers say that it’s impossible to determine their gender, also with most fish it’s pretty hard as well, sorry if i misunderstood what you were saying though.
