Even if they can somehow justify such acts, when you take into account the historical acts of Muhammad and compare them to Jesus, you can see which side is purer and which side is not corrupted through sin and lies. One spread through peace and gospel, another spread through war, force and warlordism. If you think this is not true and somehow Islam is right and the religion of peace, look at Lebanon, think of the Greeks, Assyrians, Armenians, Egyptian Copts, all these groups in some part driven out from the middle east because they were majority christian, in the 1900s the middle east was 13% christian, now it is only 5% these are all modern examples, think of all the other groups that were not heard of and never survived until the modern age.
From 6.98% of all wars that were related to religion the percentage becomes less than half that, at 3.23%, if you subtract those waged in the name of Islam (66%)
When you give muslims total control over a state you get Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, The Islamic Caliphate. When you give christians total control over a state you get... Western civilization, the renaissance, great colonial empires, and so on. We could talk on and on and on, i could argue, why would the Quran only be possible to be read authentically in Arabic to be fully understood, would it not be quite close minded from God? So many things.
The Islamic Golden Age does not even come close to what Christendom achieved.
And i still question, and i still wonder, how utterly ignorant and dense it is of Atheists to compare Islam to a religion such as Christianity.
