SoyDoom (Feedback & Possible Development)

hey uhhh if the internet archive is down then how am i supposed to play the Soydoom thingy
 
Got bored and drew some sprites on my phone. I still can't develop this mod, unfortunately. So, this is all sorta hypothetical.

Originally, I wanted two classes, but it makes sense to include Nate, so three it would be.

I was wondering, what class-unique weapons would Nate have?

Soyak Guy has:
Katana, Switch Pistol, TND SMG, Cardboard Soylent Launcher, Carbon Rifle,


Chud Guy has:
NatSoc Weapon, Tec-9, G-11 (also he has the Soylent Launcher but I was planning on changing that)

Both have:
Meds Shotgun, Supersproker, Coal Launcher

Nate would have those three weapons too, I think.

So, what would Nate's weapons be?

Releasing some more coal. Introducing the Soyfaust. It's intended to be Chudjak Guy's rocket launcher, and possibly Nate's too.
I think it'll fit the art style of the existent mod, so if anyone wants to do some tinkering, they're welcome.
Below are some examples of how its use would look like in the mod.

Introducing the pool ball launcher, that Nate guy would use.
It's basically a direct sidegrade - Trading shotgun pellet spread (and choice of projectile type) for a meaty projectile. Similar firerate.
It fires 8 colors of pool balls, and 6 striped variants, for a total of 14 variations of projectiles.
As the notes imply, anybody can use these, including removing the soy hands, which is stupid easy.

Alright, here's Soyakguy's nusniper, even doe it isn't really a sniper. I think it arrived with fashion.
The specified stats may cause a concern for balancing. The weapon is balanced with the plasma rifle because it has a way slower firerate. Thus, it is also balanced with the BFG. Any other weapons it comes into conflict with use different ammo. May also add a zoom if the sprites can be resized properly.
Therefore, I hope it'll carve out its niche as a better pistol that has long range and used cell ammo, especially with some stat tweaking later.
Again, hand is easily replaceable.
In other news, I found out how to open the soywad with nigdroid. I might brush up the TND SMG, Carbon rifle, etc.

I apprecicate the concept because i love pool games but the question is how pool is related to Nate?
 
Happy Easter. I'm glad to see people celebrating Jesus' resurrection.
I'm doing a double feature - New sprites for old weapons, and a pinkie replacement I completed a week or two ago.

New Sprites
Not much explanation needed. If you want to replace them on a personal copy, you'll need to either copy some sprites over or modify the zscripts. In the TNDSMG's case you'll definitely need to change the origin of the casing.

Xe is so attractive! Replacement works just like any other replacement, to the point that even offsiters can do it. I really like how this one turned out.

NEW CACO JUST DROPPED
Did most of the sprites a few weeks ago, then took a break. Finished the back and back 3/4 nodding and pain sprites within the last hour.
You can also drop these into a fresh wad and it won't be a complete margerald. Hopefully everyone finds the buttocks PG-13 rather than XXX o algo.

1.1 of the new front TNDSMG. It's now more slim, which I think improves it plenty.

New goyslop just dropped. Supersproker would be used by Soyak and Nate. Zerosproker would be used by Chud. The Zerosproke is new. The projectile sprites are way better too. For explosions, use Doom's rocket explosion sprites. There's a lot of text in the picture too.
Basically, Zerosproke has more stability but has less DPS. Its rockets also do more damage and have more stability. It's like TF2's unlockable weapons ya kuch aur.

Also streetcleaner has a sleek redesign, and doesn't jam like the old design. It's Chud's replacement for shotgun. Same damage, but wider spread, giving it a disadvantage at longer ranges. Also fires about twice as quick as Soyak and Nate's shotguns. It's a point blank demon splattering machine.
