Gonna be posting my solutions to the exercises in this book here because I have nothing better to do:

Exercise 1:
The brother is poor. The father is not bad. Is the uncle here? No, he is there. Is the shop not here? Yes, it is here. The baker is often quite dishonest. The schoolboy is sometimes angry. Is the apple not good? No, it is bad. Is the garden beautiful? Yes, it is beautiful. Is the teacher always friendly? No, he is often angry. Is the uncle poor? No, he is quite rich.

Exercise 2:

I'm bored so I'm going to make a constructed language or something
This type of stuff is why I find linguistics interesting. Like how Tolkien created languages for fun that seem like they are more elegant than any used languages. Or how some people create languages that are more effective than used ones. All languages just spontaneously formed and as a result are clunky in one way or another. When it's a single person and a single vision pointing together a whole language, you get a more coherent design. Not that I would know, linguistics is not my strong suit.
