Do you wear a watch?

I've had an on-and-off interest with cheap digital watches for the past few years. All of them have been Casios, though I've thought about buying maybe an old Seiko one day.
Used to have a G-Shock but I lost it. It looked huge on my wrist.

Pictured here is my "metallic blue" F-91w. I bought it about two years ago and I'm pretty sure this color has been discontinued. I don't wear it much anymore. Used it as a shower timer for about a year and it was caked in soap residue (along with some form of oxidation on the steel backplate). Took like an hour to clean.

I have an off and on relationship with watches. I used to wear a Gear S3 for a while, then a Galaxy Watch 3, but now I've kind of given up on them.
I have this nice Salvatore Ferragamo watch, but I'm too lazy to set it up so its laying in a dresser for now

I've always thought the whole smartwatch trend was kinda silly, seeing as only fitness-minded people have a use for them.
About the GW3, how was Tizen? I forgot it existed until you brought it up.

i used to have a basic digital watch on my wrist
but i dont like watches because i always feel them on my skin and hairs
i dont see much use for watches unless they're just a smartwatch

I liked Tizen, it was probably better than whatever Android Wear was doing at the time
I even had some good apps for it, I had a few basic games and even a web browser, wasn't very practical but it helped me out on a few exams if you catch my drift
The best part about it is that it still worked once I switched from an Android to an iPhone, I did lose a few things like being able to take calls and send texts but I could still see notifs and what not. Unfortunately once Soysung moved over to Wear OS they dropped iOS support so it was either an Apple Watch or nothing, and I'm never wearing an Apple Watch solely because of how fucking ugly it is

From watching old tech videos I've gathered that Android Wear was pretty terrible even to people back then. Not like Apple didn't have their own issues though. I think Google moved on to "Wear OS" a while ago, seems to be doing a bit better.

I can't imagine that'd be fun, like you said. This is silly but did the watch do all of the "processing" for web pages with its own hardware? I looked up the chip in the GW3 and it's rather anemic... two Cortex-A53s, basically like half of a Raspberry Pi 3's CPU and probably running at a lower clock speed for thermal reasons. Exynos too.

Very keyed. I've never been a fan of the rounded square design those things have, especially with how the glass curves near the edges. They're probably the most "polished" smaetwatches but there's a lot of compromises with them.

The web browser worked pretty well so I'd have to assume the phone was doing the processing. Not that it matters really as I needed to be connected to my phone to use WiFi.

Exactly, if I'm going to wear a watch I want it to look good on my wrist, otherwise why would I wear it
