HWABAG made an alleged joke about marrying a teenager, X reported him for it, I made the judgement that it was a joke instead of a serious comment, and now we're suffering the consequences of what happens when you have the policy of moderators arbitrarily deciding these things on the whim of their personal notions, of what is and isn't a joke, instead of having enough sense like we once did to simply not tolerate any of these statements whatsoever.

You are right. I apologize for not having responded earlier to your previous replies. Really, I was too pent up over this stupid "pedophilic joke tolerance" thing that we began a few weeks ago to actually think clearly about an appropriate decision. I will ban him. I was unsure of how harsh I should be now that we have that rule, but I think a good solution is to just continue being harsh by my own judgement until I get stopped.
