They always complain about it, they think social conservatism (culturally authoritarian/right-wing) is the same as economic conservatism (economic liberty/right-wing), they think that promoting traditional values, religion, nationalism, & organized families is “MuH CaPitAlisT PrOpoGaNdA” ev&doe it has literally nothing to do with capitalism/economics

Because they are supposed to be the ones that go against tradition and conservatives are supposed to be the ones that conserve tradition, atleast thats what I have gathered from my research on american politics

If you want an actual answer as to why and not just lefies bad, then you need to get it from the source. Like from the academic literature their ideology is built upon.
Answer I can give as of now is not satisfactory but from what I understand their ideology has an utopian ideal for and weird understanding of what 'true freedom' is that I can't see rooted in reality, and the family is a from of 'oppression' hindering their path towards so called true equality and freedom and that is problematic. Problematic in lefty speak means anything that is a hindrance to their agenda at present.
THAT is not to say all of them or even most of them view the family as something that is bad and idk how to say unpleasant? Their issue is inequality and power dynamics as far as I understand
