Is it possible to modify the "what's new" tab ?
If yes, my first proposition would be to rename it to catalog or 'log, and then make an option to see what's new only in a certain board, without taking away the main option to see what's new in general

make different "what's new" tabs for the different categories
i.e. "New shit nobody cares about" for subforums in "The Club"
