A kids book? We all loved it as kids and all the teachers and supervisors hated it because fun police women hate potty humor. I don't think I could enjoy it as an adult out of grade school though lol. The movies were decent. We watched one and made fun of it the whole time because we do that with most movies but it wasn't so bad.

If they made diary of a wimpy kid in 2024 they would make rowley troon out probably.

Why do you like DOAWK so much as an adult? I always felt that a lot of the story's merit was how it was relatable for the intended audience.

First 3 (maybe 4) are good, after that it keeps getting worse because Jeff Kinney has clearly run out of ideas and is just doing it for the paycheck. It's not grounded anymore, in all the recent books they do unrealistic shit and all the subtle humor from the old ones is lost.

Honestly, even doe I enjoy some of the books after 4 (even some being my favourite), I understand where you're coming from. Jeff thinks that he needs to make each book super exciting or eventful, when in reality, the reason a lot of people enjoy the books is because the relatibillity and humor, not the action like how in Wrecking ball, at the end, the house gets destroyed which leads them to live with Gramma. That's not something people that are fans of the series care about, which is why the books have been gradually getting worse overtime.
