Serious What are your honest opinions on Artificial Intelligence?

I think it can be very useful if you're just looking for information without having to dig too much into stuff and AI art can be quite gemmy at times. However I do think it can limit creativity and make people too reliant on it, especially for things like art.

Many people think that AI and automation will create a utopian future, but I honestly fear that it will be the complete opposite: a dystopian society with no jobs AND all benefits cut, where there is no middle class of any sort - only the 1% and their hordes of slaves. There will be no real nation states, only UAE-like regions with small areas where a select group of wealthy elites will live under authoritarian monarchy/dictatorship with safety, strict rule of law, and rigidly enforced borders, while everyone else will live in some Brazilian favela-type hellhole slums with extreme poverty and high crime coupled with high taxes. It's truly terrifying to think about.

Much of it is just hype. I generally dislike it when computers (or to say their functions) are refered to in anthropormorphic terms such as that they can 'think', 'feel', etc. Computers can't do any of that (nor will they).
