The forceful restriction of creation of new ideas or development of ideas because another individual claimed they “own the idea” is both ridiculous and authoritarian, and it results in stupid outcomes. Just look at the american medical industry, companies have monopolies over certain medicines as they own the patent to said medicines restricting other businesses legally from devolving and making their own similar medicine and creating competition in the industry. This has resulted in one of the worst industries in the first world solely due to intellectual “property“.Infringing upon people's natural rights to their own ideas and creativity is very authoritarian, though in a more ochlocratic way rather that the traditional sense of authoritarianism
As for piracy it is my natural right to be able to pirate a game, movie, show or book for free. If the creator of said goods has a problem with that they should make their own solutions to prevent that from happening.
Piracy and black markets is one of the truest ways to stop intellectual monopolies and governments putting heavy levies on goods.
