No. I'm not exactly sure how it would "go away" as implied by the question, but if it just disappeared I think humans are resilient enough to where life could go on underground. Obviously the effects on the outside world and life on Earth would be catastrophic (no more photosynthesis) though it wouldn't be game over for people immediately.
The Earth's core is still very much geologically active and it's not going to cool down for a very long time. I'd be most worried about the incoming shitstorm of small asteroids getting their orbits disrupted honestly. A lot of people would die, but not everyone.
