Should I get a haircut?

On one hand, it's growing out a lot and I dont want it to look faggy like Minuteman.
On the other hand, I want to enjoy having hair while I still can. All the men on my mom's side have thinning hair and my dad's hair is starting to recede.
What do?

Tfw only my mom cuts my hair my whole life. She always cuts them to 1,5cm, but the downside of this is that after 2,5 months I look kinda like a peasant because hair grows on the sides.

PS: also the appointments to the haircutters are now 2-months long.
