Shit No One Cares About Should I buy a handheld?

SNOCA is the superior and schlog endorsed version of SNCA. It is grammatically consistent and shlog-user preferred.

I have a steam deck but I've been thinking of getting a vita or psp or new 3ds xl or something and jailbreaking it. I want something I can just fit in my pocket (I keep my steam deck in my backpack). I just want something quick that i can have on me that isn't mobileslop, I'm also thinking of going back to a dumbphone and getting a flac player since that's all my samsung does anyway.

You should buy a switch so you can play bone chilling spine tingling masterpieces like celeste and breath of the wild.

maybe I could get a GBA SP (the rerelease one with a good backlight) or a DS so I can replay ace attorney for le heckin nostalgia. Or maybe one of those chink piracy handhelds.
A DS lite will do just fine for both purposes

I would go with a GBA SP or DS. If you're playing it on GBA, and have a Gamecube already, then the GBA Game Player is also an option which may be useful if you want a larger screen. Wouldn't recommend those chink piracy handhelds, especially since their prices are often high enough that you'd be better off just getting a real-system, then getting a $15~ dollar flashcart + a 32GB microSD card.

I had a switch when I was 10. Mario odyssey was fine, 6 or 7/10 and BOTW was the most boring piece of shit I've ever played 3/10. It's also not pocketable.
nigga had a switch when he was 10

I don't have a gamecube but I do have ps3 superslim I'm keeping for that faithful day I'll finally play all of metal gear solid. I have a friend that has a ps2 and that one psp variant with no wifi, maybe I could buy it from him.

The only gameboy games worth playing for more than two seconds are Tetris and both Kirby Dreamland games. #thugtips

True. You could emulate if you're using a flashcart, but still otherwise an issue.

Based PS3 :D

I've considered getting a PS3, specifically an older Phat model so it can play PS2 games without mods or anything. Although, if I did that, I'd have to make sure the system were still able to work.

super mario land makes me wanna punch a hole through my (brick) wall. Not even super meat boy does that to me. I hate that shitalian plumber with a passion.
Reggie is crying because you said that chud...

I'm just keeping it for the day I'll have to play MGS 4 since emulation is still rough and now I own most of the games I played on it as a kid on steam anyway (lego pirates of the caribbean, far cry 3, lego hobbit). Idk if I should get a ps1 or ps2 for the other games though. I do know that I'll need a ps2 controller for 2 and 3 doe because they just had to add analog buttons.

Just get a PS2 and maybe a PS1 if you can find it for cheap.
I impulse bought a PS1 when I had a job and I have used it once.

maybe i'll give FF7 a try, but I'll probably just emulate it and MGS 1-3 anyway. I just need a ps2 controller for 2 and 3 and a ps3 for MGS 4.
Good idea, do not go down the Reddit game collection rabbit hole
