Unicorn moves like a knight, but he can jump multiple times in one direction. Just like queen moves like an extended king.

I played only by myself and I don't really remember. I don't really know a chess theory for that, but that probably would be if amazon (knight-queen) reaches pretty close to the king and the oppment is not careful as amazon can mate a king on a side of the chessboard. Bishop-knight can do it if king is in the corner though.
