POLL: What is the best Fallout game? ~ https://strawpoll.com/7MZ0k8E81go
(sorry MobileKINGs, Fallout Shelter is not included in the poll)

I've been enjoying a lot of Fallout recently. And evendoe I never watched the show, I know of it, Fallout's popularity has skyrocketed recently as a result of its release. I've started Fallout 4 after being reminded of its existence. Of the Fallout games I've played, the second game and New Vegas are the only ones I've beat. I skipped the 3rd game and I watched the first on youtube. Despite its age, Fallout 2 was a lot of fun. The turn based nature of the game was frustrating at first doe as I got used to it, the gameplay felt better and better. Criticals were half of the game's fun for me. Being so limited graphically, the game makes up for it in its story and dialogue. Sick critkill animations too. A pleasant, story-rich experience. I give Fallout 2 a solid 8 1/2 out of 10.

Now, Fallout 4? From what I've played I like it. Note that literally 15 minutes in you'll be suited up in power armor and armed with a minigun blasting away at a deathclaw. They ret-conned power armor into needing fusion cores to run which is interesting, however, they've also made it common which sucks because in the prior games power armor was sought after and thought of as a very rare and powerful end-game piece of equipment. Getting it real early on kills the appeal of it for me, but they've made it much weaker than it is in the older installments which balances it out. Supposedly there are better suits and upgrades available which is something I'm looking forward to. Interestingly, you get a perk point every single time you level up in Fallout 4 as opposed to 2 or more levels. The perk selection is good and there are collectibles around the map you can find that give you perks which is a great way of rewarding exploration. It's not as story-rich as Fallout 2 doe and the voice-acting sucks half of the time, but there's a shitload of content to play through. A strong 7 out of 10 from me.

What have you guys been enjoying recently? I want to hear complaints and praises about games I've never even heard of before.

I play JRPGS way more than RPGS as I find RPGs really dull. Like the nu God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn. Maybe it’s because I don’t like managing every micro stat when I just want to get to the gameplay right away.

Play Kingdom Come : Deliverance for a historically accurate experience paired with proper combat and not spamming left click like on Bethesda's games.
