When tracing classical art/other imagery, is it gemmier to draw the 'jak's faces from scratch or just copy paste their faces on the traced body? First two are by me (ignore the sidson propaganda)

If you have the capabilities, go for the complete redraw, if you don't feel like giving it much effort or simply can't soytrace, the second may be preferred; as long as the final result is funny, who cares?

I have the same view. I was just wondering if drawing soyfaces from scratch came across as off-putting for some people.

It usually is, but you've done it in a way where they retain their original likeness which is why your art is good.

Pasting the faces on the artwork and then tracing the bodies and faces is how I usually do it. That way the line art is consistent.

I think it comes down to style for the most part. Both can look gemmy. Drawling them from scratch is probably the better if you have the art skill, however some of the gemmist images just copy and paste like the third one you posted.

The second one is gemmy, those are the best ones. Where you can obviously see the jaks they're based on, but they still aren't just copy pastes.
