The feeling of seeing your playtime on some games is so gross... for me it's rimworld and tf2 (first two games I had on steam basically)

I also have a lot of hours on both of those games too, no idea how many on rimworld though because I pirated it (not giving tynan 90 dollars for his dlc slop)

I pirated the dlcs but bought the game so I could use mods easily. Thoughts on the new dlc? I kinda liked it, I was expecting way more

I wanted to play it but they still haven't updated combat extended to 1.5 so I haven't touched it. And yeah, downloading mods is a pain in the ass compared to just pressing subscribe and being done with it.

Still? Didn't the new dlc come out like 3 months ago? I remember playing it, probably without ce because it's very incompatible with stuff.

Nigga, I just got a laceration on my torso and died like 10 seconds after I ran and tried to patch myself up. How could I avoid this? I try to deal with every zombie I see.

you should almost always be backing up when fighting zombies, since when in combat mode they move faster than you do at low nimble levels, and you just attack. You can just push zombies over and stomp them to kill far faster when they're in groups of 1-3, granted that you don't have terrible strength/fitness stats.

I periodically think about this game and how easily they could've made it good. On the surface it has a lot of features, but there's no real complexity, nothing interacts with anything else. Everything exists in a vacuum and lots of features may as well be entirely cosmetic. For example, if you get wounded you have to change the bandage once it gets dirty or risk an infection; Which sounds bad, except infections do literally nothing, which is a pretty good microcosm of why the game is so bad. I don't know why they're in the game. Non-perishable food gets spammed so much and finding drinkable water is not hard, and once you've got those 2 things covered (which you can do near immediately) you can just sit in a house indefinitely since the game has nothing else to pose any threat to the player, no wandering hordes, no bandits, nothing.
There's only one zombie type that you can just outwalk even at the slowest possible speed. Even in hordes they aren't a problem because they just blob up (don't even have collisions with each other) and you just kill them all either with something easy and stupid like making the horde walk over a campfire and burn to death or, more easily by just holding S to back up and holding left click to hit them repeatedly. There is virtually no difference between ten zombies and ten thousand zombies in a fight. Can't even really say it's a sandbox game, considering the only thing to do other than fight zombies for the sake of fighting zombies (which is not fun whatsoever) is build bad looking bases that aren't any better than a random house. After spending years farming the carpentry skill by molesting all of the furniture in your neighborhood, of course. Which btw, the majority of skills in zomboid are useless and serve no real purpose.
I do have a lot of hours on the game for something I hate, but that's mostly either in multiplayer with friends (makes any game better) or just leaving the game open and then doing something else instead, because the game is really that boring. They've added basically nothing in the decade they've spent actively developing it, and continue to add nothing.
TL;DR: Play C:DDA instead.
