If someone wishes for a genie to cut off their little toes with a rusty knife but it misses and also castrates them, is that valid as a corrupted wish? I say yes, because the knife would cut off his little toes and castrate him, thus fulfilling the wish but also corrupting it because he doesn't want to be castrated. However, @Stephen claims I did not grant his wish because the wish wasn't to castrate him.
 
You did still grant his wish by cutting off his little toes.
However, looking at the post itself, you could have specifically emphasized that his little toes were also cut off in order to avoid this confusion, for all you said that proved that his toes had been cut off was the phrase "wish granted," which was perhaps too vague to imply this.
