This is a site related to the sharty, but there are differences like this being a forum site rather than an imageboard site. Posts tend to usually be different between the two, like there may be namefags who are known here but not there (or vice versa) along with other things.
There are various reasons why someone would want to use the blog instead of the sharty, like for example you don't want your thread to vanish when a catty wipe happens. On here your thread will instead be probably forgotten if it's not interesting, and instead sit on the stack of threads beyond page 1 until someone who's bored decides to add a reply to it.
