sorry about the 4cuck format i was gonna post it on there but decided against it

I graduated high school a few months ago and was planning on doing Information Technology crap in fall of next year (taking a break year).
I kinda had a little random epiphany today though, and I want you guys to tell me if I'm right or retarded
>i'm too retarded so i'd only get an associate degree
>have to spend a shit ton of money on certifications
>spend all day in a cubicle
>have to help people fix their own problems, also they would be making twice my salary most likely
>even just getting a job would be difficult; the field is swamped with visa pajeets who can barely speak English and companies want diverse people (especially in tech stuff)
>nobody respects IT workers, not even at their own workplace. fucking programmers are treated better
>would essentially be dedicating my life to being a cuck who spent years just trying to get a $60k/yr salary

I don't really know what to do now. Am I right about this stuff? If so, what should I do instead? Genuinely thinking about falling for the trade meme.

The reason IT is so commonly recommeneded is because you can get accepted pretty easily at places in need of IT's, aswell as a lot of places willing to hire you.
I think you need to change your mindset and think of IT as a starting and reliable career, and then focus your pursuit on other ventures to make the rest of your money, since I believe a lot of IT is just standing on duty.

What other careers did you have in mind, if you dont do IT?

My issue is that I don't think there's much room to grow, especially with an associate degree. I can't imagine working 30 years just to have an average salary.
I don't really know what other stuff I could do that isn't computer-related. Cars and small piston aircraft are cool, but I've never gotten into them beyond video games lol.

with an IT job you're right theres little room to grow, but its pretty comfy. i mean you can do software development/coding related things if you want to stick to the computer. Maybe you can adopt cars as a hobby like flipping cars for profit. it really depends what you find comfortable. You thought about getting a career like maybe an engineering job?
