I used to post there, but that place was (and still does) infested with cumbrains and crab mentally baiters so I don't visit there anymore.
Literally every aspiring "artists" these days set their art goal as "patron coombox collector" instead of doing anything actually creative, another reason why the zoomfag generation is pure shit.

It's really easy to filter out crab posts, honestly every art community is either constant crabs, dead or der cord, I think /ic/ is still the best place for art feedback, there's a lot of shit but you can find gold there too if you look for it
honestly crabs are okay, what's more annoying is howies and cris spam

Are we even using the same board? outside the tutorial resources, /ic/ has been gooner&trolling shithole for years. Sure, watching permabegs shitting themselves is fun, but I don't consider lolcow bullying "useful".

/beg/ general is alright, most of the time people there are trying to be helpful, especially if you post something other than anime girl in a void
but tbh I'm not a regular anymore, I usually just check there every other month now

yeah, seems about right, i guess. but i mean on that level
i cant really get past the sketching stage at the moment, i'm not good at adding detail either.
that must have been a lot of work you put into that drawing you made, all those hair highlights, the eyes, the eyelashes, the colouring.
do you have any actual advice that goes deep or indepth about the process?

one important thing i want an answer to is what resolution do you use and how do you ensure that things don't look so blurry even at at a small scale
do you use a constant brush size or do you let that flow or something
i imagine your pfp is like a 3k by 3k art scaled down or something, the blur effect it gets from being scaled tends to hide a lot of mistakes or make lines look suuuuper smooth
like look at these lines

and i guess you also don't use pure black outlines? they're actually like coloured brown, ish?
how do you create that lil highlight there, that tiny ass white highlight? why did you do that?
is there like an option in krita that makes it easier to colour inside of the lines? (i knw you dont use krita but i do)
