I made a Instagram account for the first time last year by request from my friends. But so far it's a complete nothing burger, nobody that don't know has followed me, which is predictable, but what do I do to attract foids on Instagram like my fellow gen z chads?

I don't know about Instagram, but snapchat had a group for my school, and it was pretty common for people to add eachother and start conversation.

From there, just post things to the group story. Going out of your way to seem interesting might work, but it's going to attract people that are more interested in what you post than what your real life is, so keep it real. If you ever feel "man, my life is too boring to post" then just get out and do more (which is good for you anyway).

On that note though, you'd be much better off joining a club or something. I did student research and worked in the lab, which helped me meet a lot of other people like me. Pick something you really like and it will probably be full of people you can easily get along with

My honest advice is this. You need to talk to them IRL FIRST and if that goes well add them on social media.
If you only ever talk to them on instagram they’re going to subconsciously identify your shyness.
Foids don’t mind introverts but they do care about fear. Don’t be afraid
