well that and the stuff more broadly related to it like universal basic income.

in muttmerica people have been begging for it to be changed for a long time, and in my state it's still around $7.50/hr. most are arguing in favor of a $15/hr absolute minimum and a lot of places are starting to offer it now, depending on the area. people against it often mention that flipping burgers should only be a temporary thing and that it's not a viable career o algo

i just think it should be adjusted depending on area in a way that allows people close by to "live" but not comfortably. like they should have enough money to afford a studio apartment, used old car, and some other necessities but that's it. the economy has changed in a way where you pretty much have to get a degree and get in debt to make ends meet and i dont like that, though we shouldn't be letting burger flippers and cashiers drive nice cars. idk im retarded

Minimum wage is a nothingburger, if you wanted higher wages all you’d have to do is stop importing 5 million spics every year to fuck up the supply and demand for unskilled labour

The "Minimum wage issue" is a fucking joke.
Billionbillionuberjewbillion mega corps have ZERO reason to pay real people 7.50, when in 19fucking50 people were paid .75c, which if adjusted for today is 9.84. Or, 1980 with 3.1, which today is 12.29.
Corps are bigger than ever. $15 isnt nice, it should be BEAR COCKSUCKING MINIMUM.
and no, you arent a retard, this shit just aint common knowledge.

Minimum wage should be $25 an hour

Mcgoyslop would just make their burgers more expensive
The government has the power to stop that
to compensate for having to pay some shitskin zoomer $25 an hour to look at his phone all day or however the twin towers are eaten
Ham burgers are made in 25 seconds and the dude making the burgers does that hundreds of times a day. Have you ever seen a long line in the drive through? There's no time to look at your phone

In America only 6% of the work force is paid minimum wage. Put the fries in the bag for a couple months then go put shingles on a roof or cut trees or drive a forklift for at least triple the money.

Maybe for some jobs but they hire people off the street to do forklifting out here. FedEx is a good place to apply that will take literally anyone but they also pay the least. The least is still double minimum wage as well.

I’m probably just gonna start working on a ferry when I get out of school, but I think I need training before I can.
