Discussion Do arcades still operate?

I'm pretty sure my country doesn't have any arcades, but i'd like to know if any of them still operate in muttmerica or if they've all been replaced by gaming consoles, i'd like to visit one someday.

There's a retro one about 5 miles away from me. I went there once and it was cool, even had some machines from the 80s and 90s operating.

I go to my local barcade where I get to drink IPAs and eat these incredible chicken wings that have these extremely witty hot sauces that come with the wings!

There's spinoffs that are doing just fine like retro arcades, barcades, Dave & Busters type places, etc, but I don't think a true modern arcade that's nothing but an arcade exists in America anymore, you'd have to go to Japan for something like that

Yeah, there's one way down in northern Arkansas (I forget the exact town) that still operates that I went to with my father a year and a half ago. Huge amount of game cabinets there, both notable and obscure ones.

There's an arcade I go to pretty often that has a lot of good games. It's a barcade now, but that was a recent addition and the bar is kind of tucked away.
