The president of Colombia is in an unwinnable situation, I believe other south American countries are holding a figurative gun to his head and forcing him to get in a trade war with the US over the migrant flights. Thoughts?
They're the ones rejecting their own people, as that's how much they hate them apparently, to the point of where they'd subject them to a life in America. They brought this on themselves, and I can only pray that they crumble until they let their people back in. The scriptures tell us to love our own kin and the Colombian government fails to do this by trapping its people in Babylon.
That's what's weird, he immediately backed down and accepted the migrants but afterwards he said he will counter-tarrif. Only thing I can think of is other countries are putting him up to it.
You have no idea how much Columbia doesn’t want those migrants. The people being deported are usually criminals or homeless people that are going to be criminals. They‘re already desperately fighting organized crime.
This is why deportation in general is so difficult. Why would a home country willingly accept back felons? You have to pressure them somehow.
