They probably have the best missiles on earth. Their airforce is probably the second best after america (still pretty far behind). Their navy is solid, but extremely far behind america. They have been modernising their army, but it’s unknown how it would fare in a real war.

With how much of a stranglehold the CCP has on the info we know about the Chinese military, combined with the fact that they haven’t fought in a real war since the Carter administration. I would say their fighting abilities are overstated to a large degree. (they would still be a formidable opponent in any war doe just due to their economy and population numbers being so massive)
