It's because villains and antiheroes are relatable. People's lives aren't perfect and are tired of being fucked over by the system or other people. When they see these characters struggle like them, they sympathize and relate to the characters. You don't see this with superheroes because their lives are perfect, they never struggle and always win in the end.

When a character struggles, they feel human. It's why people like Kratos for example. Nobody cares about a happy go lucky character who never struggled once in his life

So in short, the characters don't influence these people. They were already like that to begin with
Everyone goes through struggles but those joker types of media glorify and encourage someone to become even more of a heinous person because le heccin society made me kill people. Before the joker thing, if you were a bad person you were encouraged to become a better person by overcoming struggles and developing as a person. Ancient texts and stories have this formula.
I'm not a Marvel comic soyboy so I don't know superheroes. But I think those stories have struggling people who suffered greatly, overcame their struggles and helped those in need such as batman.
One more important thing is, children being influenced by such media. I think children have brains like sponges, constantly absorbing whatever they consume and trying to become the thing they see. So with the internet and TV, if they keep consuming such content they will become that.

a story about a nigga who struggles so much he snaps and turns evil is a lot more interesting than a nigga struggling then overcoming his struggle at least in my humble opinion
also yeah kids are impressionable but most of the time when they see this type of shit theyre gonna jump around and pretend to be evil then calm down like nigga they aint finna do shit if their parents actually rised them

if u kill other people who can’t fight back ur a loser

In most cases it’s the world, the media and the state of it all that influences people, not idiotic capeshit. It could also be (((them))), for example the Columbine kids were in a glowie state, doped up on anti-depressants, and the dad was in the air-force if I remember correctly but that’s another can of worms.

Yeah negativity is more interesting, in the modern age negativity is the most popular.

Agreed but mass killers don't have good parents. I would argue shitty family/parents is the biggest factor in creating people like mass killers, but the thread asks if violent evil-glorifying media influences them. In my opinion yes, because the influence of those kinds of media is one of the many many factors in creating such people.

They’re influenced by other mass shooters, true crime media, and federal agents my nigga
