Also a very functional garden. 30cm or so of topsoil on some geotextile or whatever. It was bound to produce a bountiful harvest.

Idk, but communism/anarchism can probably work only in communities up to 10 people. 10 is probably still to much because there is almost certain probablility for some grifter to appear.
Maybe tribal societies are similar, but their society is well-established and everyone has their own role.
