i cant make a pretendo account i think i would but i still use my 3ds sometimes and i could use it

Pretendo will never be finished, they take thousands of dollars of donations per month and they've done almost nothing. Wiimmfi was set up by two German dudes in like a year with limited time.

is it possible to make an account that works if so how?

1. Well so first you need your homebrewed 3ds and the Nimbus application, its best to get it as a .cia from the universal updater.
2. After that you take your SD card, and go on this github.
3. Download the latest version of „Combined version.zip“ and extract the files to the root of your SD, let it merge/overrwrite any files
3.1 (if you do not have Universal updater, you can download the nimbus.cia on the github: “cia.1.6.1.zip“)
4. Start your 3ds and pull up the Luma menu (by holding SELECT while booting up the console) check the following options:

• Enable loading external FIRMS and modules
• Enable game patching

5. Save changes and boot up your console. Now go to your nimbus application and tap on pretendo server.
6. After you are on the home menu, go to your settings and change your system language to either french or spanish (french worked for me)
7. Go to nintendo id settings and create a nintendo id, accept all the terms and conditions, it will all look like the usual nintendo terms except for the last bit. verify your email address either by link or code.
8. You‘re done i think!

Never heard of it before, and I don't really care because the only game worth playing on 3DS in the now is MK7 which had its servers revived by PabloMK7 himself.
