for bacon, usally in the oven or air fryer until its really crisp. For country ham, just in the pan. My dad says to cook it in water, but it tastes very bad when doing that.
Bacon is the obvious choice then, but grocery store bacon is pretty bad for you since factory farmed pigs will eat a lot of soy and corn, and that builds up in their fat. Not as bad as seed oils but it's still pretty bad. If you can try and get it from a better source
