I feel like since short form content exists the world doesn’t feel the same. Everyone is getting more bland and boring, no personality, no meaningful discussion, nothing. People are like rocks nowadays. The NEW WQRLD QRDER has started and we can’t do anything about it.

short term content dies out naturally because it isnt sustainable like long term content

this already has happened with vine
and it will likely eventually happen again

Vine couldnt afford to keep sustaining short term content so it along with short term content died

i feel like it has made people either more ignorant or toxic, just look at instagram reels comments or even tiktok comments (you can attach images there now)
jordan (and at some point the us) banned tiktok, and given how critical that platform is to the current internet landscape, i say it shouldnt be banned but at some point short-form content should be made less common or phased out in a different way

i support banning short-form content
theres a large subset of the population that can and will believe everything "the media" tells them (you'd surprised to see how few people of normalgod have critical thinking skills).
so, it is best that of what content the consoomer can access, it isn't complete brainrot. see the comparison between mainland china's tiktok and america's tiktok (which is promotant to theft. bad economic choices, and hyperconsumerism). i'd rather not have most of my peers getting mind controlled by multinational corporations with infinite money to blow on undisclosed advertising (see: "influencers") please and thank you
in fact, im convinced that tiktok is somehow an infoweapon made by the chinese government in order to fuck over american/westerner citizens in the long term (think years-long powerplay). nobody knows what the algorithms are really doing to people, but its best known that its not good and the brainrots already kicking in. fucking nobody is immune to propaganda

Remove long form content
I don't want le government to ban anything, but I'd support mandatory promotion of 3 to 5-minutes long. My friend who does youtube said they promote 10-minutes long and it kinda angers me because thumbnails are too tempting and then I force myself to watch these videos to the end.
