This isn't entirely true.
It wasn't Assad's fault for the civil war. If anything, You should blame the CIA, Obama, Netenyahu, Erdogan, and the Gulf and Saudi monarchies for trying to pull a ghaddafi (which horribly backfired). On Assad, Leading to a Civil-war. --- Which, Assad didn't want to fight. But, Was forced too. I applaud him along with Saddam and Ghaddafi for being the only Arab regimes that never bowed, nor made peace with Israel. (Unlike the Peninsular arabs, who backed the rebels, and overthrew Saddam, and Assad, and ghaddafi to an extenet in collusion with CIA and Israeli interests).
Well didn't the civil war started because they started killing pro-democracy protesters (do you think those are cia or sum geg) and Assad killing his own citizens. Maybe these are ((())) lies but if you can prove me wrong pls do. Also I'm not Syrian so I don't really know much about Assad and the civil war.
