Serious How do we grow the userbase

Designates a thread as a serious discussion
Because every time you try to make a good thread, it gets detailed or ignored for a drama thread.
Weeeellll then we could get one of the shared admins between here and the blog to disable VPN's and advertise that WE allow VPNS, or in a really crazy act we could get them to "delete" (hide) /qa/ on the sharty, with the only eexplenation being "well if you wanna blogpost, go the the schlog".

We should abduct people on the streets during night and force them to use the website on cheap chinese phones inside a dark basement, lock the doors so they can't get out and give them 1 glass of water and 1 plate of food daily to keep them alive.

Stupid meta drama threads have been explicity been worked against bts, saying how even jim isn't here anymore real threads should persist.

Or or or, we can be evil and add back the OLD McCaptcha, unless you join the blog then you get a type of pass where you only have to deal with the new McCaptcha.

unironically there’s so many retards on /qa/ who are inevitably going to disappear off the face of the site in like 2 months and be replaced because nobody interacts with them anymore and they don’t want to believe this but it would be best for them to join this site as soon as possible
i actually despise every single /qa/ namefag who i don’t recognize because i see them come and go every few months and it’s all the same 4 personalities just over and over and over again

No need to jump to the extremes, but I think there is too much rulecucking here.
There is zero rulecucking here, this is the most laid back site ever. One of the problems is there isn't enough rulecucking. I mean that whole drama thread with x and cob wouldn't have even happened if Mud just shut it down with his literal moderation permissions, instead of doing nothing and then freaking out after it happened.

I wouldn't wish old McCaptcha on my worst enemy's website

This could be fixed with less rulecucking and stronger blocking measures

The entire problem was a lack of rulecucking, nobody used their moderation permissions to shut it down.

mandatory McCaptcha whenever you click on a thread, change boards, or even comment, unless you use the schlog.
