With that said, the central crux of the Proud Boys is that western civilization is superior to all other civilizations, and it's not exactly a big leap to go from that to white supremacy. In addition, Gavin McInnes has stated that Proud Boys must recognize the outsized role that white men have played in western civilization (a very non-subtle dog whistle), and it's not exactly a secret that the Proud Boys are positively filled with hardcore racists, including many out-and-out neo-Nazis.
