Honestly if they just kept it as a phone game like how it was supposed to be people would actually look quite fondly at Sonic 4 as this odd, quirky Sonic title from the days iPhone gaming didn't consist of borderline scams mass produced in third world countries. I have a feeling the boost was going to be used as the main movement option too, the original mobile version recycled its models from Sonic Rush and Sonic 4 Ep 1's physics always felt like it was made for the boost in mind, however someone in Sega decided to hastily make the game Sonic 4 so they had to create a spin dash that was essentially a boost that you had to charge up and only lasted like three seconds and put dash panels everywhere so people don't notice this as much
