I ask because i don't know anything about hair, especially black hair but i doubt anyone here would be an expert on that, so i might as well see what other people do because im curious

As for me, my hair used to always be cut short like this

but then i started growing it out and it started to look like this

so then my mom took to me some place to get it styled and now it looks like this

except 6 gorillion times worse because i dont take care of it (i don't really know how to be fair doebeit)
i tried doing research online about what to do but it seems that there's no consensus on how to best take care of black hair? wtf. some people said doing nothing is best so that's what i decided to do because im lazy GEG but anyways

what do you guys do to take care of your hair also who taught you was it your parents or something? people at school?

All my life I have only ever asked the barber to cut it short with scissors (but not too short) because I'm lazy and don't give it much thought
